The city of angels was founded in 1781 by a Spanish governor and suddenly became a part of Mexico. Later the United States bought it and the rest of California back. Today it is the second-largest population of the U.S. behind New York. Hollywood is a district in the central region of Los Angeles. It is notable for its place as the home of the entertainment industry, including several of its historic studios

Downtown L.A.

I was not actually there. Best view of the skyline you get from Griffith Observatory.

Hollywood Hills

This region is well known for its views of Los Angeles, and its expensive homes and celebrities living up there. A superb view to the Hollywood sign you get from 3000 Canyon Lake Drive, Hollywood.

Walk of fame

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an internationally-recognized Hollywood icon. It comprises more than 2,500 five-pointed terrazzo and brass stars embedded in the sidewalks along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in Hollywood, California. The stars are permanent public monuments to achievement in the entertainment industry, bearing the names of a mix of actors, musicians, directors, producers, musical and theatrical groups, fictional characters, and others (Wikipedia).

Santa Monica Pier

The Santa Monica Pier is a large double-jointed pier located in Santa Monica, California and is a prominent, 100-year-old landmark. The pier contains a family amusement park called “Pacific Park” with a large Ferris wheel. Due to the fact that this place showed up in several movies and even games, flocks of tourists are coming here. So the pier is overcrowded, and the beach as well. If you want it easy, then better go to Manhattan Beach.

Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood is a film studio and theme park in the unincorporated Universal City community of Los Angeles County, California, United States. It is one of the oldest and most famous Hollywood film studios still in use. Its official marketing headline is “The Entertainment Capital of LA”, though during the summer it is often advertised as “The Coolest Place in LA”. It was initially created to offer tours of the real Universal Studios soundstages and sets. It is the first of many full-fledged Universal Studios Theme Parks located across the world (Wikipedia).

To skip the long waiting queues, I recommend the 179 USD expensive Front of Line Pass. It is worth it!
